Paparoa Vase Set
DESIGN - Horizontal ribs play with light and shadow. Convex and concave forms give then sense of an optical illusion when viewed from different angles. Contrasting colours reflect the varying tone of rock.
INSPIRATION - Paparoa National Park is home to Punakaiki (known as Pancake Rock). Thin horizontal layers of rock create distinctive ribbed patterns, through which towering pillars cut their own unique shape.
MATERIALS - Reclaimed wood & vegetable biopolymer, 100% biodegradable
